EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from  symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.

EMDR therapy involves recalling a stressful past event and “reprogramming” the memory in the light of a new, positive belief, using rapid eye movements as you recall traumatic or triggering experiences, until those memories no longer cause distress. EMDR works by stimulating the brain in ways that lead it to process unprocessed or unhealed memories.
