I enjoy using easy approaches, developing trusting relationships, and breaking down the challenges that may feel overwhelming into smaller achievable goals. I have had the privilege to work with a vast population of people and multiple age ranges, but find myself gravitating most to young to middle age adults.

My strength-based perspective is focused on client centered approaches, the therapeutic relationship, and usable skills and supports. The modalities that I tend to use the most are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Trauma Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivation Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I offer late afternoon and early evening hours for the convenience of working around difficult schedules and real-life challenges. I look forward
to starting our journey to wellness together.

Many warm welcomes to you! I believe that life can be heavy at times, and my purpose is to help lighten the load and be a source of light during dark times. Laughter, a good conversation, a warm hug, or a walk in nature can do wonders for the human spirit. Unfortunately, our society isn't always conducive to our well-being, which is why it's essential to unlearn some things and search within ourselves to find inner peace. It's an honor to accompany you on that journey.

Throughout my career, I've worked with clients from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and age groups. My areas of specialization include perinatal, adolescents, young adults, geriatric, veterans, LGBTQ+, and those living with substance-use disorder. I use an array of therapeutic approaches, such as person-centered, existential-humanistic, transpersonal, narrative, expressive-arts, nature-based, solution-focused, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. My practice is built on strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed care. I believe that we all possess innate resilience that makes us stronger than anything life throws at us.

My ultimate goal is to ensure that you feel safe, heard, empowered, and reminded that you matter. While treatment plans may vary, I'm always here to help you become the best version of yourself and live the life you want to lead because you deserve nothing less.

Testimonials

"I have only been in therapy for a little over a month and Michelle was my first match for a therapist. Over the short amount of time I have spent with her I have truly noticed I have a healthier mindset and am truly growing. She really caters to how I prefer to do therapy. She keeps me honest and thinking. I really am enjoying our weekly sessions and will continue to seek therapy with her!"
L.I

“Krysta has been a big help to me since we first started seeing each other and I enjoy the time we spend in our sessions. I cannot imagine how or where I would be without her support"

 G.S

"Michelle approaches our sessions with a friendly familiarity and ease that I have not experienced in over a decade of therapy. She always has a great question to get at the root of why I am feeling a certain way or why a certain thing is bothering me, but it is always asked in a positive and helpful manner. Our conversations feel more like getting really great support from a good friend rather than being treated in therapy. She is a real person treating me just like a real person, and I appreciate her doses of humor and realness immensely."
 K.A.

“Krysta is an amazing listener. She isn’t judgmental and makes you feel comfortable during sessions. Krysta has helped me to see the value in myself and has guided me in many challenges”

S.K

"Michelle is an incredible listener-super accepting and helpful. I never feel judged or uncomfortable talking about anything with her and she has helped me process some very challenging transitions in my life. Highly recommend!"
